So true Nadine....re Murtha: we can call his idea stupid and say it would hand victory to Al Qaeda without questioning his patriotism. It only questions his patriotism if we say he WANTS that outcome, as opposed to thinking it will produce some other outcome, or it may produce that outcome but is absolutely unavoidable. I think that people aren't so stupid as to think that what is meant is questioning his patriotism....But rather, it would seem that the Democrats who want to be thought of as smart, are outsmarting themselves, by trying to play politics with America's fortunes in the future.
