I haven't open the link yet El Gav. But I already can tell you what's "the truth that dare not speak its name"

You can't utter that there are inherent differences between people because of political correctedeness.

I can recall the Youruba say:

All men are like the fingers in our hands. Some are strong. Some are weak, some are tall, some are short, some are fast, some are slow, some are more skillful, some are more dumb.

And on top of that all of them inherit from the environment where they grew up and live. If you live in a stupid place, you end up stupid. If you live in clever place you end up clever.

two types right here in this Thread:

I would lose my underwear in less than a month if I would try to do what TJ does.

TJ, wouldn't last 5 min. doing my stuff in those God forsaken places I go.

This is a fact. It is not a judgement that one individual are gauged better than the other one. And this is a simple fact that can't be spoken. Well, I can tell this TJ because he is not going to give shit about :-)

Read the site. That's it. Nothing to discuss about. For country with the Brazilian IQ, they are better off exploiting agribusiness rather than try to become a Germany. And that is not a praise for German IQ because I work for them for over a 1/4 of a century and a I know them.

Then they can export the model to other similar places like the Caribbean< South East Asia and Africa.

And there’s nothing wrong with this; a million dollar is a million dollar. Look the Aussies and the Canadian. Just get the stuff out of the ground efficiently and you've got it made. Of course there’s this inner national pride cum self steem that will react if you say that they rose riding the coat tails of other countries. And they will dign some virtue to –unsuccessfully- bullshit me about

I am telling that because I lived and worked in different settings:

Native of Brazil then I lived and worked in: Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Thailand, Malaysia and now Iran.

I take three examples:

Sweden case:
If one look to Sweden you know that what they do, what they specialized in, can't be reproduced in another country of disparate environment. And I can tell you they are not that bright!

Indonesia case:
Indonesia thought that they were going to become an industrialized country. In three months I discovered that they were a failure waiting to happen.
The Japanese were installing there everything that they could not economically run in Japan and creating a huge overcapacity of everything.

The infrastructure was dismal with the Chinese putting up buildings by the waterline (they love to do this in Asia!) The managerial capacity was not there. Turnover was 20%. They could not find the people to run the economy.

They speak a stupid language and people's way of thinking and their mind set are coupled tight with the language they speak.

Iran:
The environment in a given country, dumb down the population. Any people who have a little brain power are not here. The environment dumb down the whole country. The more enterprising and bright left.

Now that I can recognize the Iranian names I can see how highly regarded and successful they and their dependants are:

Fred Mercury, Andre Agassi and Christiane Anampour are just the most famous and visible.

That's hilarious: <In 1952, on the fifth anniversary of independence, the Indian government commissioned a survey to find out if the average Indian villager had heard yet that the British had gone. The study was quietly cancelled when early results showed that the average villager had never heard that the British had ever arrived! >

Blaming the British wore thin a few decades ago in most places. Zimbabwe and South Africa, having booted out the British [and descendants] are showing how much blame can be laid at whose door. Similarly, India has had half a century of independence, so their poverty is their own creation. Similarly, negroes in the USA blaming slavery is wearing thin too, but it's still an article of faith in many quarters with some absurdists even wanting taxpayers to pay compensation to the melanin-rich. Which is quite funny when one thinks that identifying slave descendants will be tricky and why should a Chinese immigrant today pay for slavery then. Anyway, the slave descendants should heave a sigh of relief that their ancestors were sold down the river by their Niger compatriots so that they can live in the lap of luxury in the USA [comparatively] - whining that they can't still stay for no charge in hotels in New York because of Katrina.

comment on the site's take on HK, sounds about correct, although the so-called HK IQ probably contain a large tranche of folks from elsewhere, making do in HK

<A clear example of how a bad environment can hurt IQ can be seen in the IQ scores for sub-Saharan African countries. They average only around 70. In contrast, African-Americans average about 85. It appears unlikely that African-Americans’ white admixture can account for most of this 15-point gap because they are only around 17%-18% white on average,>

False. Which is not to say that bad diet/bad environment/toxicity doesn't stop DNA development to its optimum intelligence. Of course it does. But if anything, USA negro diets are probably worse than those in Africa, where they don't have supermarkets loaded with junk food.

In the 200 years since negroes were taken to America and in the breeding processes and selection processes leading to the current situation, it is easy to imagine that a 15 point improvement to 85 or even a 30 point improvement to 100 could occur.

It's not a matter of evolution so much as selection of those who go on to reproduce, and miscegenation.

200 years is 8 generations. That involves a LOT of selection process. In just one generation of 10 children, [common 100 years ago], most of them will probably have no or very few offspring. Do that 8 times and we could have a very narrow representation of the DNA of 200 years ago if there's a tendency built into the selection processes.

Maybe intelligence was heavily favoured in American negroes but not so much in African. Since women generally say they value intelligence in males [as one of the premium desirable characteristics], it's reasonable to expect that intelligence is a characteristic that increases rapidly as the dull blokes get left on the shelf.

It has always amused me that people have been convinced that all races are the same, when it's obvious that they are very unlikely to be, given their geographic separation for so long. They are different in height, colour, blood types, muscle types so it's not exactly surprising that they are different in brain functions too.
