Republicans are outta ideas in Iraq. Murtha is providing them the opportunity to get out of their rut and DO SOMETHING. 1. Get 500,000 troops there by instating a DRAFT 2. Get out and have the Iraqis truly sovereign What's wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. Republicans have ZERO IDEAS about what to do in Iraq. They're completely paralyzed which is why they have $40 million inauguration parties and pretend that Iraq doesn't exist. They love the $33 billion in quarterly profits for BigOil but they don't like the daily criticism about the tax on the energy users. Republicans are completely paralyzed. I'm sure that, in secret, they're thanking God for Murtha.
