Cosan, for instance: Used, for itself to run the distilleries, 100.000 MW/h, in 1998, this jumped to 324.000 MW/h em 2004. The actual consumption os equivalent to the consumption of the city of Campinas. Population estimated: 1 031 887 inhabitants.

The surplus electricity energy generated today is above 26.000
In 2004, 26 mil MW/h was sold to the energy companies to generate additional revenue for Cosan.

The CO2 subproduct of burning is sunk back into the sugar cane plantations which are growing under the Sun and photosynthesis does the job.

Which is different than crude that has stored CO2 after millions of years and are liberated into the atmosphere.
