S. Florida, state lead in job creation

South Florida once again led the state in job creation during October. And Florida leads the nation, with a 3.3 percent annual rate of job growth in October, compared with the nation's 1.4 percent.

The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation reported Friday that the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area saw 64,000 new jobs created, a gain of 2.8 percent. Meanwhile, the state's unemployment rate was stable at 3.4 percent in October. The leading industries for job creation are professional, business and employment services, as well as trade, transportation and utilities.

If real estate is 40% of the jobs in the U.S. as Misheldo says, then a downturn won't mean just low, positive, monthly numbers. It'll mean negative numbers. Will we see 400k+ weekly numbers? We haven't seen the weekly number move at all.
