Bush has a dagger in the heart of his presidency now, and it's got John Murtha's name on it. It is an honest dagger representing the will of most Americans.

Rove's evasion and deceit methods are now counter-productive. Rove's dishonest dirty tricks have been exposed. He himself will probably be indicted in a matter of weeks. Rove cheated to win numberous elections, but his career as a dirty trickster who subverts democracy is over. If the rightwing thinks the sham yesterday helped them, they're nuts. I expect Bush's popularity to fall several more points because of it.

John Murtha and John Kerry have the support of the American people on Iraq now. Bush and the cynical GOP congress do not.
The public has basically vote "no confidence" in Bush on Iraq. The disapproval figure iw way up there around 67%.

My guess is that Bush will gradually be forced to compromise and give in, if for nothing else to try and save some of the GOP congressmen from getting bounced in '06. Very few Bushie pro-war congressmen will survive next November. The Iraq War has been a collosal blunder wraped in lies and delusions. Anyone who was 100% for it and refused to join Murtha/Kerry will be gone.
