Is it really your position that no US leader (or representative ) should be allowed to authorize war unless they personally have a relative in the armed services I think it is morally reprehensible for these leaders to be so pro-war when they kept as far away from action as they could when it was the war of their generation. Then you have someone like Cheney - with 5 deferments - questioning the patriotism of Murtha - who was there for 37 years - well its beyond belief. Cheney et. al. lead your typical blue collar Republican on a leash with his phony talk of "Patriotism". Cheney was so patriotic that he did everything to keep out of doing his duty. Murtha is a true patriot – Cheney doesn’t know war – he was sitting on his ass watching TV during ‘Nam. Cheney is a chickensh%t who wastes American lives for political reasons.
