From my teens to a year or so ago when I read Behe's Darwin's Black Box, I would have said evolution fully accounted for the full range of life on earth. Now I see that is not possible. For a part of that time, I would have said that it was intellectually reasonable to disbelieve in a God - belief being strictly a matter of faith. I now realize I was mistaken. What you believe about God is a matter of personal faith, but there is no logical basis to think there was not an intelligence behind the universe. It is atheism not deism which relies on faith.
