It's interesting, and Google is aggressive. But one question that I asked continually throughout the 90s - where's the income?

If it's ads, it's 1998 all over again. Ad revenue is not a revenue base to build a castle on. It's like the world has collective amnesia and doesn't remember the collapse of the web ad ponzi in 2000 or so.

Will people buy "subscriptions" to network apps? IMO, no. That was the periodic buzzword promise for the last 5 years. Nobody bought into it. If Google is the future, its a "free as in beer" future or nothing.

I could be wrong though. :)
