<<SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Trading volume is expected to fall in the holiday shortened week ahead, but stock strategists say they see little reason to expect a dent in the market's ongoing rally.

Last week's stream of economic data showed that consumers were undeterred by high gasoline prices and continued spending dollars even as the specter of inflation loomed over the horizon.

The weather has been mild leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, keeping high heating costs at bay even as gasoline prices have fallen. That appears to bode well for the stock market.

"We see the broad market as trading at a 15% discount to its fair value...and expect to see stocks move towards their intrinsic value," said Robert Straus, chief investment officer at Icon Advisors Inc.>>
