buy.com is couples miles away from me. About a year ago I wanted something and it was at the same price at Amazon and buy.com. I bought from buy.com hoping that UPS would deliver it next day. It turned out it was to be delivered from some very remote warehouse.

I'm very glad buy.com is alive as Amazon has at least some competition. Investors who finance buy.com IPO will lose their money, but they do good to the society. -g-

Similar as AMD has kept Intel from charging too much for CPUs. I always thought that everyone buying PC with Intel CPU ought to send $10 check to AMD.
