Women necessarily bear and suckle children and blokes don't. They are biologically destined to be mothers because at present that's the only option. So, on average, women will be out of the employment scene for at least 2.2 children each, though some will not be in it for decades and others will never be out of it.

Losing, on average, 4 years [sufficient time to have 2.2 children and get them into early child care, not that I'd recommend such a bad idea], is quite a dislocation in career development. Especially at a young age, when women need to be having children.

Those statistics are enough to mean that always there will be disproportionately fewer women in many jobs and top positions than men, even leaving aside innate differences and self-determined wishes; for example women are not as good at maths and even if they were educated properly instead of being neglected until after puberty, they would probably still be not as good, as the bias seems to start quite young for some reason.

<it is not surprising that women and other minorities are not evenly represented even at this time in most democracies. >

That's a giggle. Do you really think that women are a minority? Or maybe you have the word "minority" meaning something other than a numerical business.

In China, women are a minority, due to preferential female abortion [years ago]. So they say anyway. In the rich countries, where women live longer than men, who have been decimated during wars and self-inflicted foolishness, women are the majority.

You sexist and racist bigots always get things wrong. It's always amusing to see racist sexist bigots make mistakes.

PS: Note I have used "racist" and "bigot" twice and together. AND threw in "sexist" as a free bonus. That makes mine a really excellent argument and I win. Evidence of racism here: < personally am not opposed to quotas as long as the time horizon of its implementation is limited and a credible reevaluation is then undertaken. > So racism is fine as long as it's not for too long [say 1000 years] and the racists re-evaluate their position; credibly of course.
