If most folks don't want to see the US use of force constrained by UN decisions, I can't imagine why they should be subject to foreign referenda. And the pro-Iraq policy crowd didn't want to consult anyone prior to invading and occupying Iraq. It's a weird position. (I know nothing about the author or the Web site cited in the article.)

OTOH, if we ran our domestic elections with foreign referenda as a factor, we would certainly get more pro-international presidents.
