Americans were rather reluctant to get involved in war prior to P.H. An attitude American liberals now applaud in the case of Iraq. I guess they should then think Hitler should have had Europe. If he won against the USSR, the nation he REALLY wanted to go after. Poland just happened to be in the way and that dragged in Britain and France. The likely outcome is that the Hammer and Sickle would be flying over 10 Downing and the Champs Elysee.

Either that or goose stepping.

Whether or not the U.S. pulled their "appropriate load" during the beginning of WW11 is debatable. They certainly fought for the survival of their Nation in the Pacific theatre after P.H.
Debatable? The point that is debatable is whether Britain and the USSR would have been able to hold off Germany without American help.
