The terrorists are not supported in the Arab world. I don't know how you get that idea. If the terrorists had support then why did we have that big march in Amman. Why did those folks in Lebanon come out against the killing of Hariri etc.

Note that other terrorists who are political in nature such as the Japanese Red army, Bader Meinhof etc. do not support the Islamic terrorists since the Islamic terrorists are religious based and they are hoping to bring in the Arab world. The Arab monarchies will not let that happen since they will loose their grip.

So the best solution for Bush is to fight the Islamic terrorists on the political level by bringing all the world nations to the table. Instead, unlike his father, he chose to go it alone, thumbing his nose at the world leaders and consequently those leaders have turned their backs on him now.
