If we go away, the whole region descends into hell.

What is your basis for saying so. My basis that what you say will not happen is because the Zarqawi attacks and the Iraqi violence and turmoil started only after the US went into that region. The terrorists are after US troops and Americans descending on their lands in such large numbers.
