One Republican and two democrats voted for that sham bill. I have no idea why. It was not a serious bill, it was a political dirty trick designed to embarrass the great patrriot Murtha and all of his Pentagon supporters. The word is now that Murtha speaks for the Pentagon more than democrats. Kerry's plan is for a more gradual pull-out. That is the democrat's plan.

Also Murtha did not say pull-out immediately, he said immediately, but only when safe for the soldiers. Duncan Hunter intentionally left that out. If he had put it in, the bill would have been taken seriously and might have passed with some negotiation and compromising.

Murtha is right. The jig is up in Iraq. After the next election we ought to reward our troops for a job well done by giving them their lives back. Bush has hijacked 160,000 American families and has no plan for how to achieve "victory" as he calls it.
In fact the whole mess is his fault to begin with.

65 US troops killed in Iraq during the first 20 days of this month. Somebody has got to tell the Iraqi resistance that they are dead-enders who should have had their last throes many months ago...

Maybe we should parachute Dumbya, Cheney, Rummy, Wolfowitz et al into Iraq and have them pass the message to the Iraqi fighters?!
