Murtha makes it clear than his proposal is not a partisan one. And as a lifelong conservative hawk he can say that with 100% credibility. He also, more than anyone represents the Pentagon.

CSPAN live showed a Republican voting for the sham dirty tricks bill. I have no idea why anyone would vote for it. It was not intended to be a serious bill in any way shape or form. It was an insult to the US public and it came from rightwinger Duncan Hunter who should lose his job for doing this.

I can assure you it won't be just 3 this time next year!

And if there is a draft (which is what is needed if we have to have the slightest chance of securing Iraq), that number will be in the millions (of parents)!
