Of course not. Just giving a heads up on some things to look for. The script stands on its own and Firefly, the name of the series, translated very well to the big screen. It is not a big budget, special effects extravaganza like the Star Trek big screen productions. I like the characters, but based on the movie, Kay Lee comes off as a whiner and it is completely understandable why she hasn't had anything "that wasn't battery operated between my nethers in a long time", which was more puzzling in the series.
