Cheney too is backing away from his slurs about Murtha- boy, those polls must have been something to see... I'm not sure the "dishonest and reprehensible" epithets are going to play all that well, though, except to the faithful- and you can't win an election with only the faithful. Cheney backed away from earlier administration characterizations of Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., as a coward and instead clled him "a good man, a Marine, a patriot."
