I used to be friends with a guy who was in the marble & granite business.

As you say, money solves everything. But I almost bought his house. It was in Kinnelon, NJ. Everything was marble or granite. Floors, counters, even some desks. Nice piece of property, btw. He had a three or four car garage, a full basketball court, and a short par three in the back yard. J killed the idea, only three bedrooms.

I wonder how he moved all of that stuff. That is, how he got it all in without experiencing the problems of cracking anything and so forth. I rarely see him any longer or I'd ask.

-----

The kids just get money for Christmas. When I was working as an engineer, the company pressured us to buy Savings Bonds. So I would buy $100, then later $500 dollar bonds out of my paycheck and put the kids' names on them.

Christmas problem solved. The bonds are all 20, 25 years old and older, so each year they get one each. Never thought it work out as well as it has.....

The garage is under contract. Hit a double; bought it for $150 about 3 or 4 years ago, selling for $299. Hopefully the deal closes in December. Taxes were planned that way.

Sold off all of the old cars, but then bought a '71 'Vette. Jack wasn't happy about that. At least I can park it at the lake house.

Currently moving tools and whatnot from the garage to the house by the lake. Problem is, the house has only the garage for that type of storage. So now I have to figure out how to get two floors of compressors, tool chests, grinders, battery tenders, spare parts, auto manuals, computers, and whatever else is there into a one car garage next to the Corvette.

Time to expand the house, I guess.

-----

Still accumulating gold and gold futures. Happy I moved a sum into the Bank of Montreal a few years back when the C$ was around $0.60 so life is good so far.

Worried that the yellow metal may see a pullback over the next few days, but I've traded short term before so I guess I'll just have to handle it.

Hit a nice run with Petroquest and PDG as well. Swapped out of PDG to ABX.

Waiting to see how that plays out.....

Happy Thanksgiving to you my friend.

Looking at a solid Sell signal on the SP.

Whaddya think?

Haven't really traded SP in several years. Hate to let a good trade go by tho.
