So, there was no 'dodge' :), you want to re-ask your question? OK. Re: "but I was really after what crime is being investigated?" Like I said, I only know what little information that has been publicly commented upon. And, as I understand the mandate of the Independent Prosecutor, he is free to bring charges for any crimes he may uncover. There *is* a law against revealing the classified identity of a CIA agent (& the C.I.A. DID strongly request that an official investigation be mounted to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Plame events... & the government did see fit to do so), there *are* numerous laws against revealing government classified information (with some very long jail sentences as possible penalties....), there *are* laws against lying to federal authorities, lying to a Grand Jury, etc., laws against perjury.... And, as I replied in answer to your original question: Being only aware of what little information that is public thus far --- not being privy to the secret information that was given to the Grand Jury which came forward with the inditment --- there is no way I could definitively answer you question of whether I though Libby (or anyone else) was guilty of the crimes charged so far, or not. Or indeed, whether *new* charges will be brought against other people, and whether *they* are guilty of the charges or not. It would be only idle speculation at this point. I suggest you wait for further developments, and the actual trial(s). SURELY you do not make a habit of 'convicting' people solely on the basis of your thin perusal of newspaper headlines????????????
