Looks like you have the defeatest, can't win mindset of the dem leadrship. Glad these guys (and you) aren't running the show. America would never have gotten to where it is if your mindset was the prevailing one. Surprised you can make it through life with that mindset. America can and will win this war, whether the pessimists thinks so or not. "The longer we stay, the more we lose." OK, Murtha. Looks like my analysis of you is correct. "This civil war would actually be GOOD for Western interests, because a Sunni-Shi'a cat fight would turn their attention inward, and away from us" This shows imo that you don't really care how many of them die. Folks like Bush, Cheney and the military leaders in charge think that if this happened there would be conflict as you state. And they think (wisely imo) that Zarqawi and his cohorts would have another win agains the evil (and cowardly) U.S. and then THEY would run Iraq. Like the gullable position that Saddam was trustworthy and would never hurt us, this belief is laughable. I can see you think pretty highly of yourself to be able to accurately predict what each group would do, how long it would last and who the victors would be. You must be even smarter than you think you are. lol. Try supporting the plan to get democracy going. It works well in other places, and no matter how prejudiced you may be against Arabs, I believe they could handle it too. Rid yourself of the defeatism and pessimism and you may be able to see the possibilities where a society can rise above the rabble that you think of as their destiny.
