The democrat position is that the Iraq war, which was based on faulty intel (all of which was not shared with every member of congress. Only those on the Senate Intel committee had unfettered access to the classified report that contained all of the dissenting opinions) is a failed attempt to fight terrorism. Careful consideration needs to be given to figuring out how to get out without incurring more losses and destabilizing the region. The kind of planning that should have been done before we ever went in. This needs to be done sooner not later.
