I'm still not convinced this is true where video cards are concerned, though I could be wrong. The reason I'm thinking video drivers will have special problems is that OS X's display system is very advanced. Putting a wrapper around a Windows driver may allow you to have a working display, but I don't think it will give you access to core image, and the other highly specialized aspects of the OS X display frameworks.

Again, I may be wrong, but I believe that even Apple's own drivers didn't support the 2D core image features in the first release of Tiger.
