rich, I see what you mean, but making the right decision in sentencing is not at all easy. In the case of cold blooded murder, with malice and aforethought, there should be no doubt about execution IMO. Other than that, there are a lot of "ifs" and "whys" swirling around the case which confuses the proper sentence.

My main beef about a stay in prison for any crime, is that the convicts live in splendor compared the to lives they led out on the streets. Prison is supposed to make the guilty sorry for the crime they committed, but if they live so well, and still make demands for more luxury, they will not get the message and return to society with the same crime based attitude. I don't like the idea of one red cent going to make a convicts life more comfy. He should be made to hate every day in prison, and not want to ever return there for the rest of his life.
