Schiavo's active brain was shriveled to the size of a walnut and she was blind, and mostly deaf and dumb. She had almost no cognition of anything around her. Her reactions to shapes, sounds and lights was the most rudimentary type of consciousness. The autopsy proved that she was a terminal vegetable and had no idea what was going on around her. She could also feel very little pain during her death. if any at all. Letting her die was merciful and the right thing to do. She could never have been cured. Plus, remember all those rightwing lies about how her husband supposedly battered her and so forth. And the outrageous rightwing call to murder the judges and throw the conservative judge out of his own church. More ugly rightwing smear campaigns against good people and the truth. You should be ashamed for backing those sinners.
