The "rain of Oreos" never happened according to unbiased witnesses. In fact not a single Oreo was witnessed.

Sounds like another Rove fabrication and dirty trick. The GOP is always trying to lie to blacks that Democrats take them for granted. The truth is, blacks are part of the democratic party. There is no distinction. Black Republicans are very rare, but they are always paid off and promoted to high level visible jobs as camouflage. Condi Rice for instance had no business being security advisor to Bush. She had no security experience whatsoever and it showed when 9-11 happened after she was warned and did nothing.

Everyone knows the GOP's southern strategy relies on fanning the old fires of southern racism. The Oreo story is just a desperate attempt to cover this up.
