"I thought you were trying to sell the story that Murtha didn't really mean what he said..."

No, I was just pointing out where the spin was wrong. There is the resolution, try reading it some time.

Even so, I don't see where Hillary's comment is relevant.

Murtha is right. But the GOP rightwing intentionally misrepresented what he said, as they always do when they're on the wrong side of debates. They only used the first sentence and not the conditions the first sentence was based on. That is safety for the troops first and foremost. Also, Murtha doesn't advocate abandoning the defense of Iraq. He wants a large force stationed nearby so we can intervene if the Iraqi government is threatened.

But time for Iraqis to defend Iraq. Enough is enough.

The 'X' over Cheney's face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.

As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one 'X' flashed over Cheney's face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: "CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE."

One top White House source expressed concern about what was aired over CNN.

"Is someone in Atlanta trying to tell us something?"

A CNN spokesman did not return repeated calls late Monday night.

Murtha was clear about what he said. The GOP spin machine immediately twisted it and tried to change the meaning. Another big lie the RNC is telling the American People to cover up for Bush's failures and lies.
