I don't think that we are "no better off". It's undeniable that there probably would be a civil war if the US left Iraq. That's exactly why we must stay the course, let the Iraqi government become stronger through learning about their own democracy. Like I've said before, you don't make a culture based on 5000 years of slavery, feudalism and fear of authority change over night. I will tell you this though. The most disturbing thing that I've heard out of Iraq so far is about the Volcano Squads and I've already explained why. It's sleep time for me.......
