I think Google lit up the whole industry, actually. Tomorrow Google announces a local shopping service with inventory at local stores. GOOG? What industry? GOOG is in the advertising industry. Just look at where their revenues come from. Tech is PCs, semiconductors, semi capital equipment, software, cell phones, enterprise hardware, telecom equipment, printers, tech distributors and IT services. If GOOG is getting lots of advertising dollars for selling internet ads, what does that have to do with PCs, cell phones, or IT services? Does GOOG light up the cell phone industry or the printer industry. Not much.
