At least that's a good excuse. When they closed our schools for two weeks it was because the school board wanted to force the administration to save money. It cost more in the long run because the kids had to have the required number of days.

Very much like when they closed down the government when Clinton was president.

When I still lived in Mt Vernon, IL there was a news story about a college student from somewhere hiking cross-country one summer and ended up staying one night in an abandoned barn near here. He was found dead a few days later with over 200 brown recluse spider bites. Really bad little bastards.

I got bitten by a brown recluse on my collar bone. I knew when it happened I needed to get to the doctor because I'd never been bit by something that hurt that bad and it turn out good. They took a small divot out of the area gave me antibiotics and said change the dressing twice a way until the oozing stops.
