The lies came from the White House in 2003, the doctored intel they sent to congress, manipulated into the media and told the UN. It's true most people thought Saddam had WMD because Saddam bragged about it (wanting to scare his own people mainly) but there was no evidence, and certainly no credible evidence of Saddam-Al Qaida connections and a nuclear program. Those last two items were where Bushies really got caught lying.
