Kerry was driving a hybrid last time I saw him. I agree, private jets ought to be heavily taxed and the proceeds should go to developing clean fuels. All gaz guzzlers should be heavily taxed and the money given as subsidies to those who clean up their act. That is how you get things to work. Bushies have done the opposite. They have rewarded gas guzzlers. If you drive a big Hummer under Bush-CHeney, you get a tax break.

You're a pig, and proud of it! A typical Repugnican. God gave you the earth to use up and convert to shit. I don't want you to give up your hemi! I want you to pay for a windmill for the privilege of driving it. If we do that, then Detroit will quit making the things, because no one will buy them. On the other hand, let's give tax breaks to people who drive hybrids and high MPG green vehicles. Let's make it PAY to be green. That's good public policy, and it's already happening. You lose.
