While watching Bloomberg over TV (from a hotel of course), an analyst babbled something like Intc won't move because Intel's growth is purely dependent upon other hightech firms inventing new things that require more chips, and since there's nothing interesting that anyone in hightech is creating, Intc won't move. His comment reminds me why I have never bought a TV in my life.

Has he not heard of wifi, notebooks or centrino?

When I hear analysts so negative like that, it's an indicator now is probably a better time to nibble more on Intc. Btw, I like Intel's new dividend if you can believe that - quite a change for me, hey?

On a more interesting note, Gordon Moore was recently on TV and he had an interesting explanation around the importance of developing product for shipment (commercial use), rather than for the laboratory. I think Intel should capture his talk and send that portion of the clip to Intel's hp server group - designing a product for high volume manufacturing rather than laboratory perfection. I would love a copy of it too - it would be useful to give to new hires entering hightech industry for the first time, because Universities don't emphasize practical engineering for manufacturing and shipment.
