I play a lot of one table games at party poker...and I understand 4th place quite well.

some days I place over and over again....some days I'm out in 8th place. It seems to be the run of the cards for me. I"ll flop 2 pair and bet hard and somebody that probably shouldn't have even seen the flop will draw to a 4 flush/straight.

THe best time I had was in a game they call a shootout. Top 3 at your table moves on to the surviving top 3 from all the other tables....and this goes on until there is only one group of 9 survivors.

I paid $20 to enter against 40 players and finished 1st,1st,3ird and out of the money on the 4th table. Had I finished in the money on the final table I could have made near $800.

Payout was over $200....the nice part was you carried your chips from table to table at the busting of the 4th player.
