thanks...i'm going to try for a ten pack of one of the index names you mention...i'm still fearful though of a rally continuing into year end...maybe it is amateurish thinking but i heard this morning the indexes are now in + territory for the year and i have trouble seeing how that won't be held up for a few more weeks...that said, the "value" in such puts is relatively compelling as you suggest i've also got a fair bit of puts against some gold shares and the xau, because i'm way long in gold shares via a mutual fund...so many days when the market gives way, the gold shares take it on the chin even more... so... are you holding any puts on gold shares or xau ? the threads seem way bullish...hmm...
