That's pretty funny- although I wouldn't agree with number 1. I think people DO need to qualify the way they write- because some people forget that statements are qualified -for example, even though many Americans celebrate Christmas, some do not- encouraging people to make statements like "Americans celebrate Christmas" is not stupid, but lends itself to sloppy thinking- especially for those people already inclined to sloppy thinking. And no, I'm not typing this underwater, and I have already taken an upper division level class which covered the fallacies, so I feel confident in speaking to this subject; please do not bring up snakes in any replies. :-)
