Samsung has been getting to be a very big semiconduction producer.

Intel needs to try to "cut off some of their oxygen" before Samsung gets to the point where it could threaten Intel's position.

I'd expect Intel to start dumping NAND on Samsung in the same way they dumped NOR on AMD, devastating AMD's profitability while not really affecting Intel's own overall profits.
