everything Bush and his people were telling us was exactly what they were telling the Bush.

And you must also realize that we hear what we expect to hear unless we're really careful to do otherwise. You say that I heard what Bush heard. OK. But appreciate the significance of that. I never thought for a minute that the war was justified. I think on this thread I used the term, pipsqueak, to describe Iraq. Obviously Bush found them scary. Predisposition has a lot to do with interpretation. I think that's what happened.

You may want to believe he slanted it

I don't want to believe that he slanted it. I don't believe he slanted it. I just finished saying that I don't think that he lied. But he was wrong and I think it's likely that he could have been right had he a different agenda.
