Bushie Repubs all lied to us pre-war about the need to rush into Iraq. They parroted Cheney and his team mostly, and as we know, Cheney used as his sources completely discredited exiles like Curveball. Cheney is at the center of the scam, but it spreads outwards, engulfs Pat Roberts and many many others. Still, the American People demand to know. The investigation will get done despite the GOP stonewalling. McCain joining the Dems on this is critical because he is the only Repub with a chance to win the WH in 2008 in MHO. He is the defacto new leader of the GOP.

It is a dangerous illusion to suppose that another retreat by the civilized world would satisfy the appetite of the terrorists and get them to leave us alone. In fact such a retreat would convince the terrorists that free nations will change our policies, forsake our friends, abandon our interests whenever we are confronted with murder and blackmail. A precipitous withdrawal from Iraq would be a victory for the terrorists, an invitation to further violence against free nations, and a terrible blow to the future security of the United States of America."
