Cheney was the one who attacked Murtha first. Why are you attacking the victim of the smear campaign? for 3-4 days the GOP smear campaign against Murtha was going strong. Then they called it off and took cheap side-shots instead.

Whether or not he is right isn't relevant. By dumping on Cheney, it cuts off debate and polarizes. And there is already too much of that right now. As the minority party, the Democrats cannot afford that.


I am not sure polarization can be avoided when one side stacks the deck and plays fast and lose with the facts.
