<Dell web site and saw it comes with a 90 day warranty.>

And Fred from India will be available with his best gibberish English to assist you with any problems. (Assuming you have time to navigate the phone menu maze and an hour of time to hold.)

Never again.

Hi Gottfried,

Earlier this year Dell starting offering a 90 day warranty on the lower cost PC's and notebooks. One year was the standard warranty for all of Dell's products prior to the change over. Of course you can always purchase an extended warranty.

PS: Are the specials on Dell's web-site under the heading of Black Friday? I couldn't find this reference on the web site.

G, I suppose with desktop prices where they are, Dell is trying to squeeze a few bucks out of the consumer any way they can. Not long ago 3 years was the standard warranty. Now, if you look at their website, you will have to pay 'extra' to get 'premium' phone support (so you don't have that long wait on hold and possibly even get someone you can understand <ggg>).

Best regards,
John
