OK Elroy let me ask you a question. Did the emergence of Amazon, (the first major online retailer) help the technology industry? Because all Amazon did was move retail, something we all know existed before, to the web. Big deal right? Did Amazon sell more cell phones chips, PCs etc? Not directly. Google is the same animal. Google is moving an established business to the web, profitably. The difference between Google and Amazon is that Google is about where Amazon was in 1994.
