I think in iraq its more about tribes than anything else. Tribes fight to the death so some of these tribes may end up being annihilated in any civil war. Shiaa have advantage of a possible separate state supported by both US and Iran. Kurds have effectively won their independence and its just a question of how much territory they will take and keep in a civil war. That could end up being another israel/pal thing going forward as kurds are not arabs and the emnity is super tribal because of the history. mike
