The irresponsibility of the Democrats on Capitol Hill is breathtaking. (How can an honorable man such as Joe Lieberman stay in that party?) Not one of the critics of our efforts in Iraq — not one — has described his or her vision for Iraq and the Middle East in the wake of a troop withdrawal. Not one has offered any analysis of what the terrorists would gain and what they might do. Not one has shown respect for our war dead by arguing that we must put aside our partisan differences and win. Boy o' Boy.. Doesn't that pretty much sum it all up??!!! Great article!! About what's at stake. About the consequences of running away from the great struggle of our time. About the continuing threat from terrorism. Peters must be brain dead. The insurgency in Iraq is 95% homegrown. They're shooting at Americans, because were in their homeland. When Americans leave they won't have anyone to shoot at. The terrorists are in Afghanistan along with bin Laden who has long been forgotten about, and Bush now says that bin Laden doesn't matter. We should have never entered into a war in Iraq. It was a big mistake that gets bigger everyday that we stay there. Orca
