the only problem is, people have been making that exact same argument for the last two years as they continue their subpar performance. meanwhile, energy has continued to clean up. that's not to say energy will outperform every year, but i believe we are undergoing a secular change in the markets that will restore energy to a market PE and much higher weighting, while reducing the premiums and weightings of overpriced sectors like technology. i think this is a decade-long event and i am patient.
