You are right about that Tim. "As Soon As Possible"...interesting when we know right now that we have troops in 42 different countries ....and that is down from 72 a decade ago. We still have troops in well known places like Germany, South Korea, Japan AND YES, even if Clinton said we would only be there a year, we are still in Bosnia, many years after Clinton said "a year".... BTW, Bosnia is a place the US went, and they didn't attack us either.

The answer you get for "as soon as possible" could be a few weeks or it could be a decade. That is right. It could be anything. It could be never. But, the difference is, is that you are trying to get out. You do not want to stay their permanently. You want those that want you out to help get you out. But, when you are vague about it, when you are trying to deceive people, when you really have intentions of permanently occupying their country, that is when those people get PO'd. That is when you create more terrorists than you can get rid of.
