Murtha is a fool, and has always been for cutting and running. Those who run to call him a "37 year veteran" (actually it was six; he's been a civilian for 30 years) and "normally pro-hawkish" and being disingenuous, to say the least.

Murtha

Murtha looks tough but talks weak. He is a typical left wing congressman who has voted right on war and has talked left. He was one of the first to want us to "Cut and Run" from Somolia. He was protesting our being in Iraq a year ago.

The MSM ran him as a "breakout" on the war. Totally false reporting.

In a reply to Nadine, I think you state you do not know his (Murtha) record. Maybe I have researched his record well. What I think is really going on is the the War in Iraq is really doing extremely well. The President has explained his ideas and methods. Shortly with no prompting troops will be leaving Iraq because it's all going so well.

I remember all the dems running to run in 2004 all trying to outdo themselves on how the President was totaling screwing up the economy and had mislead or lied about his tax cuts. Who turned out to be full of it. What is unemployment and how is the economy. Iraq is the same way. It's turning out well in spite of all the dire predictions and accusation of the President lying and having no plan.

The dems have no plans for anything and act in what I best describe as some mental way. They have no ideas and may be in some frantic panic attack.

There is no need to reach out for consensus, the War is being won and the peach is being won. This is a need to stomp on those who suggest the President lied. This is a need to stomp on those who suggest the President or Vice President or their folks conspired to out lying Joe Wilson's wife.

I have no problem with the Minutemen. I see hannity and O'Reilly as idiots on the border issue. All suggesting a wall are dumber than that proverbial bag of hammers.

My analysis of the Delay and Libby charges are they are both pathetic political jokes.

Every current presentation by leadership democrats today has about as much merit as Murtha's suggestion to pull out of Iraq immediately that even he would not vote for.

Per immigration

You have rank and file Republicans like me who have opposed illegal immigration for years versus the business oriented Republicans who see a growing economy and a need for cheap labor.

Bush represents those business people. I'll never vote for McCain because of his pro-immigration stance although I like his active foreign policy views.

It's a split within the party and the country club types haven't even figured out there's a split yet.

They're so far removed from the ordinary American because of their money they don't realize what the wave of unassimilated illegals are doing to the culture.
