Buddy:

Economics has been called the dismal science because it is not exact. It is the compilations fo a bunch of observations. It has as much to do with psychology, sociology and anthropology as it does with math and statistics. An economics professor at Oxford (who learned to differentiate what was boring by observing a student who crossed his arms at such times) did as much to advance the "science" as anyone else has.

The fact that you appear to lack a grasp for the economics of money and banking is not a bad thing, it is merely an observation. There are a million subjects on which I have no value to add.

"instead of engaging in fruitful and open debate --- a process from which we could *both* probably learn and enjoy."

Absent evidence to the contrary, I choose to believe that the knowledge transfer would be one way on this subject. Contradictory evidence has been withheld to date.

"you were apologizing for misinterpreting my original comments on economics."

I try to be polite. At times success eludes me.
